Notice: Inappropriate Material on District Computers.

Due to problems that are occurring we will no longer allow the installation of any inappropriate software titles on classroom computers.
This list includes, but is not limited to:
AOL, MSN, YAHOO Instant Messenger Services- Uses Proxy Space, Allows Internet access from outside sources (PHISHING Scams)
Weather Bug OR ANY WEATHER SOFTWARE!- Adware Operators, proxy space utilization.
Kate.Net - Adware, Uses proxy space
Bonzi/Bonzai Buddy- Online Activity Monitor, Info Exchange Operator
Web Shots- Tracking Device, Allows Internet access from outside sources
Blue Mountain Screen Savers- Tracking Device, Allows Internet access from outside sources
All Internet Add-on Search Bars (Hotbar, CoolWebSearch, HuntBar, ILookUp, ISTBar, Search Assistant, WebSearch, SpiderSearch)- Browser Hijackers, Adware Operators- these are difficult to remove, and may damage your computer
Google or Yahoo Toolbars- Browser Hijackers
Kazaa (KaZaA)- Adware & Info Exchange Operator (File Sharing Device)
Gator/GAIN, Also Claria- Adware Operators, Tracking Devices
IMesh- File Sharing Device
Comet Cursor- Online Activity Monitor (SPYWARE)
Nutella- Tracking Info
Morpheus- File Sharing Device
E-Mule- File Sharing Device
Gambling software of any kind/Scratch Cards- Allows Porn popups & Adware
RealArcadePlayer AND Real Rhapsody- Uses Proxy Space, Allows Internet access from outside sources
Wildtangent Online Gaming Software – Uses Proxy space, allows Internet access from outside sources
Lop (Live Online Portal)- Hijacker
Xupiter (allows porn popups)- SPYWARE, Tracking Device
Look2Me/Msg-star- Tracking Device, Allows Adware
AD-Destroyer, Virtual Bouncer OR ANY OTHER DETECTION UTILITY THAT THE TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT DID NOT INSTALL! – These themselves contain spyware and adware.
Many of these programs utilize our permanent connection to the Internet to download and run programs that fill up space on the district proxy server. Due to the excessive number of these sites, the proxy server is continually needing files to be deleted in order for it's proper operation on legitimate, educational web sites. Also some of these programs, such as Kazaa, allow access to illegal materials.
This list will continually be updated so be sure to check back often.
If any of this software is detected on your computer it will be immediantly deleted by a computer technician, and a report will be filed with your Principal.
