How do I learn which school my children will attend?

Pre registration for Kindergarten in mid February:
The district has a pre registration for Kindergarten in mid February to enroll students for the following year. The purpose for this is to ascertain the number of seats needed so that we hire the appropriate number of instructors.
You would enroll your child in the school they would be attending in the fall. There will be an announcement in the newspaper with the dates and times.
If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school where they will be enrolled for that school year.
Final Registration for grades K-8:
The district will mail out your child’s registration packet in July to be reviewed by you for any corrections/changes.
At that time the district also requires the following documents to be either mailed back to the school office or delivered at walk-in registration the first week of August:

Most of you will have already turned in all of these forms except for the Proof of Residency during pre registration in February. **Please meet with the Nurse/Nurse’s aide the day you register your child in your child’s school if there are any health issues that need to be addressed.
How can I help my child make a smooth transition to a new school?
- Arrange a time to meet with the guidance counselor at the school to discuss any concerns you may have about your child’s adjustment to the new setting.
- Encourage your child to become involved in school activities.
- Finally, take an active role in your PTA and consider becoming a school volunteer so that you and your family quickly become part of your new school community.
