BACK-TO-SCHOOL
PEP RALLY
Be
Proud of Your Success! Hooray! Hooray! We're back in school and
everyone at Central cheered, stomped, and yelled at the
Back-to-School Pep Rally. It was an exciting way to jump start the
new year. Thanks to Jose Salinas, our Central Cougar, and to Krissi
Mark and Jerome Johnson, our university and high school graduates.
Thanks to those crazy clowns - Jennifer Cifuentes, Francisco
Jeronimo, Sarah Ramos, Cristian Burciaga, Reed Dalen, Ambur Hawkins,
Alex Etheridge, Jackie Solis, and Jordan Munoz. You made us all
laugh. Finally, thanks to all the balloon and letter-holders. As Mrs.
Kisner says, the successes of your future start today, so BE PROUD OF
YOUR SUCCESS! Go Yellow and Blue! Pictures: (1)

W.I.N.G.S.
(Wonderful Individuals Nurturing Gardens Seasonally)
Third
and fourth graders were able to volunteer to help take care of our
butterfly garden. Thirty three students are in the after school club
and are busy learning to identify what plants we do & don't want
in the garden. The group will also decide on a name for the garden.
With all this extra help our garden is looking fantastic! Thank you
to the helpers. Picture: (1)
SMART
CENTERS
Students
in Miss McMahon's room explored our new Smart Centers today. We
learned that we can learn new things when we look inside books and
that we learn lots of new things when we work together. Pictures: (1)

GRANDPARENTS
LUNCHEON
On
September 22 Central School celebrated Grandparents Day by inviting
grandparents & others to come to school to enjoy lunch on the
lawn with their children. The event was a huge success as can be
evidenced by the pictures attached to this article. (Pictures)
GOOD
CITIZENS FOR SEPTEMBER
The
students of Central School continue to learn about the program
"Character Counts." They are asked to practice its six
Pillars of Character, (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility,
Fairness, Caring and Citizenship), while at school. Based
on these pillars, the teachers nominate a good citizen from each
classroom. From those students, the teachers choose one student to be
the good citizen from that grade level. Picture:
