Dear Parents and/or Guardians;
Below are some thoughts that we would like to share with you;
Remember that students need to arrive after 8:10 a.m. If you need to bring a student later than 8:20 you can safely drop them off in our Drop Off Zone until 8:25. After 8:25 you must bring your child into the building and sign them in at the office. After 8:25 they are tardy.
Please join us at our PTO meetings. Your participation in this organization insures that they will be able to support your student with the extra curricular items they have always provided (Field trips, parties, assemblies, weekly/monthly magazines that aid instruction, teacher support, and many other misc. items, to numerous to mention them all. Even if you cannot participate in the actual meetings, your support during events and on their committees is needed to keep our organization strong. You can sign up for one or for several events as your schedule permits. There is a core of parents numbering 6 to 10 people who are the officers and committee chairs that have been doing the brunt of the work for our whole building. We are hoping more parents will consider supporting their children and Central School. Contact the school for information on how to get involved.

SAFETY IS AN ISSUE. We ask that you help us keep your children safe by following a few simple rules………..
Do not double park while dropping off or picking up students from school.
Do not cross in the middle of the street. Use our crosswalks, especially in the front of the building involving our bus lanes. Children will follow your lead and cross this way without you also. We may not always be able to see them if they cross between vehicles.
SIGN IN THE OFFICE WHENEVER YOU ENTER THE BUILDING. The doors in our building are locked for security. Entrance to our building is through the front door. In our effort to keep your children safe in our school environment we enforce this rule of signing in. Please do not feel offended if we do not recognize you and ask you to return to the office and get a visitor sticker. Every visitor upon entering our building must pick up and wear a sticker.
Please call ahead to arrange a visit with a teacher. We cannot put calls through to teachers while they are instructing. We ask that you set up visits to the classroom ahead of time through a note or a call. If you are dropping things off, we will deliver them to the classroom so we do not disturb instruction.
Parents we are asking you to set your child’s mode of transportation ahead of time. Please decide on one mode and you and your child stick to it unless a temporary change or an emergency arises. Then send a note to the teacher or as a last resort an emergency call the office. It is truly difficult if we get several parents calling in daily to change transportation. It is too easy for your child or us to get confused and do the wrong thing. If you have any questions please call Mrs. Johnson in the office at 815-562-8251.

Estimados Padres y/o Guardianes:
Bienvenidos a otro gran año escolar. Esperamos con anticipación a trabajar con ustedes y sus hijos. Nuestro maestros (-as) estan trabajando mucho para preparar la curricula y instrucción para el regreso de estudiantes. La escuela se mira maravilloso y apreciamos lo mucho que el personal del verano hicieron para preparar todo para nuestro regreso. Tenemos una maestra nueva que va enseñar el quinto grado, su nombre es Natasha Jackson. También tenemos un nuevo asistente de lenguaje, Renata Elleby. La señora Judy Slattengren ha retirado pero va regresar en un capacidad limitada con un trabajo pequeño en lenguaje.
Nosotros esperamos que ustedes nos ayuden en el compañerismo de hogar y escuela para que nos unamos en el esfuerzo para que alcanzemos en nuestros estudiantes el potencial maximo. Estudios nos dice que los estudiantes que son apoyados en el hogar y la escuela en su educación van a ser muy exitosos. Favor de revisar el manual para estudiantes con sus hijos y firmar el papél en el manual para estudiantes y regresarlo a la maestra de su hijo(a).
Abajo hay algunos pensamientos que queremos compartir con ustedes:
Recuerden que los estudiantes necesitan llegar después de las 8:10 a.m. Si ustedes necesitan llevar a su estudiante más tarde que las 8:20, pueden dejarlo(la) en nuestra Zona de Depositar hasta las 8:25 a.m. con seguridad. Después de las 8:25, tendrán que llevar a su hijo(-a) en la escuela y necesitarán firmar en la oficina. Después de las 8:25, él(ella) será marcado ‘tarde’.
Por favor vengan a nuestras reuniones de PTO. Su participación en esta organización asegura que la PTO pueda apoyar a su estudiante con las cosas extracurriculares que siempre han podido proveer (excursiones educativas, fiestas, asambleas, revistas semanales o mensuales que ayudan a los maestros a enseznar, el apoyo para los maestros y muchos otros artículos que no tenemos espacio para mencionar.) Si no pueden participar en las reuniones mismas, su apoyo durante eventos y en sus comités se necesita para mantener fuerte nuestra organización. Ustedes pueden firmar para trabajar en una o más eventos según lo que sea posible para ustedes. Hay un núcleo de padres, 6 hasta 10 padres/madres que son los oficiales y presidentes de comités que han hecho la mayoría del trabajo para toda la escuela. Esperamos que los padres consideren apoyar a sus niños y a la Escuela Central. Pónganse en contacto con la escuela para conseguir información sobre cómo tomar parte en este trabajo.
Nuestro sitio de “web” está listo y funcionando. Favor de navegar el sitio para ver las noticias de los estudiantes y otras noticias de la escuela Central.
LA SEGURIDAD ES UN ASUNTO IMPORTANTE. Les pedimos que guarden seguros a sus hijos por seguir unas reglas sencillas...
Cuando dejen o recojen a los niños, NO estacionen el carro en la calle paralelo . a otro carro que ya está estacionado allí.
No crucen en medio de la cuadra. Usen nuestros pasos de peatones, especialmente en frente de la escuela donde hay carriles para los autobuses. Los niños seguirán lo que ven que hacen ustedes. A veces no podemos verlos cuando cruzan entre los vehículos.
FIRMEN EN LA OFICINA CUANDO ENTREN EN LA ESCUELA. En nuestra tentativa a prometer la seguridad de su hijo(-a) en el ambiente de nuestra escuela, hacemos cumplir todos con est regla de firmar en la oficina. Por favor no estén ofendidos si no los reconocemos y les pedimos que vuelvan a la oficina para obtener una etiqueta de visitante.
Por favor llamen por adelantado para arreglar una visita con un maestro. No podemos mandar llamadas telefónicas a un(-a) maestro(-a) mientras que enseñan. Les pedimos que ustedes arreglen visitas al salón de clase por adelantado con una nota o una llamada. Si ustedes entregan artículos, nosotros le entregamos los artículos al estudiante, para no molestar al maestro.
Padres, les pedimos que arreglen el modo de transportación de su hijo(-a) por adelantado. Por favor decidan en un modo de transportación y ustedes y su hijo(-a) no deben cambiarlo excepto en caso de emergencia. En ese caso, manden una nota al maestro o en caso de una emergencia, llamen a la oficina. Es muy difícil si muchos padres llaman a la oficina a la vez para un cambio de transportación de su hijo(-a). Es posible que el niño(-a) se confunda y que haga lo que no debe hacer. Si tienen preguntas, por favor llamen a la secretaria al número
