The RTHS Choral Program ended their 2024-25 Concert Series with a bang last night with the Choral Finale Concert. Lots of great musical moments were made. Additionally, our 7 seniors were also honored for their work and dedication over the years.
Lucas Smardo is this year's recipient of the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and Julia Livingston is this year's recipient of the National Choral Award!
Congratulations to all for quite a successful year of performance!

This week's Hub Award winner is Benjamin Miller. RTHS wanted to thank Benjamin for all he does to help make RTHS a better place. His teachers describe him as hard working, conscientious, and has a good sense of humor. They also pointed out that he demonstrates a growth mindset and excels in group work. Thank you for all you do, Benjamin!

RTHS had some special visitors yesterday! Maryann Macklin and Barbara Eyster from Macklin Inc. provided some great information to our students about potential career opportunities in the aggregate industry. Some of the many job opportunities in this industry include: driller/blaster, heavy equipment operator, safety manager, lab manager, sales/marketing, engineer, geologist, accounting, shop foreman and scale operator. Macklin, right here in Rochelle, has a great opportunity right now for a part time LAB TECH with flexible hours that is perfect for college students. SILVER SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!! The Ogle County Fair Association is looking for volunteers to help out at this year's fair. The Volunteer Positions are for various positions and begin July 28th. The positions include Fair Setup (7/28-7/29 ~ 4-7pm), Parking Directing (7/30-8/3 ~ various times), Main Gate Ticket Helpers (7/30-8/2 ~ various times), Grandstand Gate helpers (8/1-8/2 ~ evening), and Fair Tear Down (8/4 ~ 9am-12pm). SENIORS!!! The deadline for having your Silver Service Hours entered and verified in SchooLinks in order for them to count towards the 400 hours needed to earn the Silver Cord, is April 28th. The silver cords will be presented during Honors Night on May 5th and you will have the honor of wearing them at graduation.
