Silver Service Opportunity!! The Rochelle Moose Club is looking for volunteers to help with Adopt-a-Highway clean up day. The first day this will be held is Saturday, April 26th. Grab a friend or 2 and meet in the parking lot of the old Hickory Grove building at 7 AM. The clean up will be held along Rt. 251 between Hillcrest(Twombly Rd) and Rt. 38. Any help is greatly appreciated. Just show up. All supplies will be provided. See Mrs. Harvey in the Counseling Center with any questions.

Student Council hosted their spring Staff Appreciation Breakfast this morning! The students showed their appreciation by waking up really early this morning to make and donate delicious food and drinks, serve breakfast to RTHS staff members, and spoil our staff with tons of raffle prizes! Thank you for all you do RTHS staff! Thankful to be a Hub!💜









Students attended a one-stop event at Kishwaukee College to complete their placement tests and register for classes with Mr. Pointer.


Congratulations to Abby Metzger and Taelynn Rodeghero for receiving the 2025 Rochelle Community Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship. They were honored today at the Auxiliary's Annual Spring Brunch and each presented with a $1,500 scholarship. Abby was the recipient of the Ward A. & Mabel T. Miller Award Scholarship. They were 2 of 5 recipients of this scholarship which is intended for students planning to pursue or pursuing a degree in the healthcare field.

American Legion Illinois Premier Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. It is a participatory program in which students learn by doing and become part of the operation of city, county, and state governments.

Mrs Flanagan is proud to announce that Friday, Luis Blas, Z Brizuela, Kaiden Morris, and Marinia Vazquez became the first RTHS students to earn the Illinois Education Pathways Endorsement. This year these students completed several requirements, including 60 hours of work based experience, Dual Credit Introduction to Education, and the research and presentations of two team-based challenges. The amount of work put in this year by these students has been impressive. Thanks to their parents for attending the ceremony!!

Mrs. Jacobs' classes had the opportunity to learn more about CEJA (Climate & Equitable Jobs Act) and how it can impact their future jobs and careers in Illinois. Clean energy jobs not only make our communities stronger and healthier and help combat climate change, they are growing fast and pay well too!

Renaissance Breakfast to start our Friday off!

Congratulations to the following students who were selected as Illinois State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). Selection for this recognition is based on a combination of SAT scores and GPA after their junior year.

Abby Metzger, Riley Doyle, and Erin Murphy placed 1st out of 51 teams at NIU Lead Program's Ethics Competition. They presented their ethical solution to their dilemma to a panel of judges in both the preliminary and final rounds competing against schools from Genoa Kingston, Rochelle, Sycamore, Dekalb, Stillman, and Belvidere.
This is the second year in a row a RTHS team has won this event.

Good News...Resource Bank has extended the deadline for their Centennial Service Award Scholarship from April 4th to NOW APRIL 18th! The application can be found on our school website and on SchooLinks.
Completed applications should be submitted to a Resource Bank Branch or mailed to them. More info can be found on the application.
