Today, on Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, we celebrate our wonderful RTHS Paraprofessionals, also known as superheroes! 🦸♀️Paraprofessionals play an essential role within our RTHS family, supporting teachers and students in many ways. Paraprofessionals, or paras, teaching assistants, or instructional assistants, do a little of everything here at RTHS. They support classes, assist students, help with substituting and supporting the general running of the school, and help supervise students.
Parapros deserve all of the recognition and appreciation in the world for the work they do each day. We could not function without them and are lucky to have the best right here at RTHS.
Thank you so much for all you do everyday!

March is National Athletic Training Month! RTHS would like to take a moment and recognize the expertise and efforts of our very own Athletic Trainer, ATC Marshall Basler. ATC Basler is an RTHS alumni and plays a vital role in the development and health of all of our athletes at all levels at RTHS. Without his commitment to the physical and mental health of our athletes, our several athletic successes would be much more difficult to obtain. If you see ATC Basler, make sure to thank him for all of the work he does for our school community!

Congratulations to FFA member Megan Seebach for winning state in her SAE FOR Equine Science Entrepreneurship! Megan will now represent Rochelle and Illinois at the National level!

The RTHS art department sends off 10 student artwork to congress representative Darin LaHood. The IL-16 congressmen will choose one artwork from the district show to be on display in Washington D.C. and 4 honorable mention awards.
Artworks will be on display at the Riverfront Peoria museum April 2-April 28th.
Good Luck Hubs and happy spring break!

Why am I proud to be an American? This question was answered in essay form by many of our local students including some of our very own RTHS students. John Gruben and Steve Korth from American Legion Post 403 were at RTHS to present the contest winners with cash, prizes and certificates for their outstanding Americanism essays. Jessica Nguyen and Magdalene Good both received 1st place in their respective divisions, which qualifies their essays to compete at the state level. Congratulations to all the participants and best of luck at the next level, Jessica and Magdalene.
