The Rochelle Middle School is excited to congratulate Mrs. Karen Anderson on being recognized as an honoree through the Illinois State Board of Education’s “Those Who Excel” program. Mrs. Anderson is a 6th grade physical education teacher at R.M.S. who has dedicated over 30 years to the district. RMS Builders club will be starting a Care Closet for our students. We are looking for the following items: shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, body soap, deodorant, brushes/combs, hair accessories and lotion. Collection boxes are in each homeroom. Thank you in advance for generosity!

The Ogle County All Stars were in action today at RMS. It was a standing room only crowd. Congrats to both teams! This is always a great event for students and staff to be a part of. Special thank you to all staff who helped to make this a great event including the RMS pep band, cheerleaders and the student body who cheered on all participants.

RMS girls basketball was in action again last night. 8th grade A team lost 31-20 and B team won 12-9 7th grade A team won 41-1 and B team won 20-14.

Girls basketball was in action last night against Sycamore. 7th grade A team lost 24-14 and B team lost 16-11. 8th grade A team lost 44-12 and B team lost 14-7.

RMS Wrestlers were in action at the conference tournament over the weekend. Our wrestlers did well with several placing in the tournament. Note from the PTO: Friday, January 26th the PTO is hosting a family movie night at Lincoln. The doors open at 5:30 and the movie starts at 6:00. We are showing the movie Elemental.
