Ms. Hacaga has been recognized as the critical thinker of the month among RTHS staff. She is fully behind the RTHS Vision Statement of “Preparing Students for Their Tomorrow.”
Ms. Hacaga has stepped up her leadership this year by supporting students by coordinating our College and Career Readiness programming. In her role, she has offered substantial support to students and families. She has organized various nights to assist families in preparing for college and has taken the lead in events such as FAFSA, College Application, and Dual Credit.
Ms. Hacaga has played a crucial role in providing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) support for our students as they navigate the challenges of high school.
Congratulations to Ms. Hacaga! We extend our appreciation for her dedicated efforts.

This week we are celebrating National School Counseling Week. We would like to thank and recognize our Counseling Department for all of their efforts. They actively engage in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests and talents and work in a partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world. Our counselors focus on positive ways to enhance students’ academic, career and social/emotional development as well as work with teachers and other educators to provide an educational system where our students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic and optimistic aspirations for themselves. School counselors are certified, experienced educators with a master’s degree in school counseling. The combination of their training and experience makes them an integral part of the total educational program. They are a vital part of the educational process for every student here at RTHS and we appreciate everything that they do. Stop by and thank your Counseling staff this week!

Wheatland Tube in Rochelle, a division of Zekelman Industries, hosted a group of RTHS students for a tour of their facility on Wednesday, January 31st. The students had the opportunity to learn more about the manufacturing industry and see their state of the art facility in action. The Wheatland team treated our RTHS group to a tour, lunch and Q &A session, and even a goodie bag! Thank you, Wheatland Tube team, for your partnership with RTHS. We had a great visit and the students walked away with a lot of great information and a vision of what modern manufacturing looks like.
